Terms of Service

These terms govern use of the BadgeMe platform and website (collectively, the "Service") operated by the company behind badgeme.eu ("BadgeMe", "we"). By creating an account or purchasing a plan you agree to them.
1. The Service
BadgeMe provides event-registration, check-in, badging, engagement and networking tools for in-person and hybrid events, accessed via web and mobile applications. We may update features, add or retire capabilities, provided the Service remains substantially as described.
2. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential.
- One account can run multiple events; each event belongs to your organization (tenant).
- You are responsible for activity under your account, including team members you invite.
- Accounts with verified emails unlock purchasing. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
3. Plans & payment
- Plans are billed per event (Starter €499, Basic €1,999, Professional €5,550 — see pricing page for current prices). Prices include VAT where applicable to your billing country.
- Card payments are processed by Stripe; bank-transfer invoices are settled per the invoice terms.
- Fees are due at booking for self-serve events and per invoice for invoiced orders.
- You may purchase multiple events; coverage limits (attendee ceilings) apply per event.
4. Refunds
If a purchased event has not yet started and has not used more than incidental platform resources, you may request a refund within 14 days of payment by emailing info@badgeme.eu. We may cancel and refund orders that breach these terms. Payment-provider disputes are handled under Stripe's process.
5. Acceptable use
- No unlawful, fraudulent or infringing content or events.
- No attempts to overload, probe, or reverse-engineer the Service; no resale of API access without agreement.
- Organizers must have a lawful basis for processing attendee data and must provide attendees with required notices.
6. Data & GDPR
For organizer-collected attendee data, the organizer is the GDPR controller and BadgeMe the processor; our standard data-processing terms (available on request) apply. Data is hosted in the EU. You may export and delete your data; we follow our Privacy Policy for our own processing.
7. Availability & liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted operation, though we target high availability and communicate known incidents. To the maximum extent permitted by law, BadgeMe's aggregate liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid for the event giving rise to the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, abuse, or legal risk, with notice where reasonable.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country of BadgeMe's establishment within the EU, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your residence. Mandatory EU consumer rights are unaffected.
